The Journey

My Learning Experience

Below is the timeline of my journey in coding.

  1. Ethnic Republic

Learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals. Gained experience in installing and managing CMS platforms like WordPress and OpenCart on Apache servers. Successfully integrated the PayPal payment gateway. Developed a custom-designed blog.

Created an OpenCart website for EthnicRepublic, an Ecommerce marketplace specializing in hand-painted sarees and ethnic apparel.

  2. ShreeMarbles.in

In January 2018, I worked on the 'ShreeMarbles' project, where I created their complete static website.

During this project, I also delved into the world of Google AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages), learning how to optimize web pages for faster loading and better performance on mobile devices.

"ShreeMarbles" was a valuable experience that allowed me to enhance my web development skills and gain insights into optimizing web content for mobile users.

  3. Ethnic Republic

During this period, I expanded my skills by learning React and Firebase. I put my knowledge into action by completely revamping the Ethnic Republic website using React. This transformation involved migrating the Ecommerce platform from OpenCart to React, with Firebase as the database.

I delved into state management with React's built-in Context API, gaining valuable experience in handling complex application states. I also explored the intricacies of Single Page Applications (SPAs) and their impact on SEO, further enhancing my understanding of web development.

My learning journey included the basics of technical SEO, an essential aspect of modern web development. To improve performance and SEO, I converted the entire Ecommerce website from Create React App (CRA) to a server-side rendering (SSR) enabled Create Razzle App.

Payment gateway integration was another area of expertise I acquired during this time. I successfully integrated the PayUMoney payment gateway into the Ethnic Republic website, ensuring seamless and secure transactions for customers.

  4. Input Output Electronics

In October 2018, I collaborated with Input Output Electronics. I worked extensively with WordPress and WooCommerce to enhance their online presence and e-commerce capabilities.

My responsibilities included optimizing their website for a seamless customer experience. I also implemented the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method to provide flexible payment options to their customers.

  5. Abtris Consulting

In December 2018, I had the opportunity to work on Abtris Consulting's website. My focus was on enhancing their online presence and user engagement by developing a website that included a contact form.

I utilized HTML, CSS, and jQuery to create a visually appealing and functional website. During this project, I also expanded my knowledge by exploring various JavaScript libraries, including Particle.js and Owl Carousel, which added dynamic and interactive elements to the site.

This experience allowed me to further refine my front-end development skills and discover innovative ways to engage users through web design.

  6. CraftCollaz.org

In December 2018, I worked with CraftCollaz, a company specializing in WordPress-based solutions. During this time, I focused on WordPress development and e-commerce solutions, using technologies like WordPress, WooCommerce, and Elementor.

One of the highlights of this experience was learning to leverage drag-and-drop page builders for WordPress, particularly Elementor. I used Elementor to create numerous custom pages, which allowed for greater flexibility and customization in web design.

Additionally, I integrated the PayPal payment gateway into the website to ensure seamless and secure online transactions. This project not only honed my WordPress development skills but also expanded my knowledge of e-commerce and payment gateway integration.

  7. QR Menus For Restaurants

From January 2019 to March 2019, I contributed to the development of QR Menus For Restaurants, an innovative solution to streamline dining experiences. My responsibilities included front-end development using Google-AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) for optimized performance.

The database for this project was powered by Firebase, ensuring real-time data synchronization and seamless updates. Additionally, I played a key role in developing a React-based dashboard with menu editing functionalities, providing restaurant owners with a user-friendly interface to manage their menus efficiently.

This project allowed me to delve deeper into front-end technologies and database management, enhancing my skills in creating responsive and high-performance web applications.

  8. Experience Edge

I learned how to leverage GatsbyJS to create high-performance websites. One of my notable achievements during this period was developing a blazing-fast, responsive website for this real estate company. This project not only demonstrated my skills in GatsbyJS but also showcased my ability to design a user-friendly UI.

In addition to GatsbyJS, I also delved into D3.js, a powerful library for data visualization. This experience expanded my capabilities in creating interactive and informative data visualizations for web applications.

  9. Petandics

In November 2019, I had the opportunity to work with Petandics, a company specializing in selling handmade portraits of pets.

This project allowed me to contribute to the creation of a visually appealing and functional website tailored for a niche market. It was a valuable experience in e-commerce development and WordPress customization.

  10. Reading Bharat

In April 2020, I worked on a project called "Reading Bharat," an online library offering books in various local languages of India, including Odia, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

My responsibilities for this project were diverse and challenging. I utilized GatsbyJS and Next.js for front-end development and integrated PDF.js to enable the rendering of PDFs directly within webpages.

The project involved using a variety of technologies, including React for the user interface, Firestore for data storage, and AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Route53, and CloudFront for hosting and delivery. I gained experience in Python programming and AWS Lambda functions.

One notable achievement was deploying the site on AWS infrastructure, which included setting up S3 for file storage, CloudFront for content delivery, Lambda for serverless functions, and Route53 for custom domain management with SSL enabled. I also wrote Lambda functions to prevent Google from indexing PDF files stored in the S3 bucket.

To enhance the website's SEO, I implemented server-side rendering (SSR) using Next.js for each book, improving its search engine visibility. I also learned to use Google Search Console to manage indexing and deindexing of pages and handle errors, which significantly improved my technical SEO skills.

This app, available for both IOS and Android, harnesses the wisdom of renowned personalities by categorizing their quotes into various motivational themes.

My role in this project has been to develop the web component. Using NextJS, I crafted dynamic category pages showcasing quotes from different authors, books, and topic tags. These pages provide users with a curated motivational experience tailored to their interests.

In addition, I built an extensive admin dashboard that empowers administrators to manage quotes by category, add new books, authors, and topic tags, and oversee user accounts. The dashboard also facilitates the creation of dynamic marketing links and the bulk upload of quotes for maximum efficiency.

Beyond web development, my journey with "Unstoppable" has included learning SQL basics and BigQuery for analytics purposes. I've delved into PostgreSQL and Supabase for data management, as well as NodeJs to craft custom cloud functions to enhance the platform's functionality.
